Harbour line at dusk 2009-11

Oil on Canvas 48" x 24" (4ft x 2ft) ( SOLD )

Painted started in 2009 took my time going back to it. Finally I seem to be leaving it alone. It has parts I love and then parts I don't.

"Small Forest Painting" 2009

"Small Forest Painting" 2009, Oil on Ply-wood Board. 9.5" x 13.5" (SOLD)

Inspired by living in the forest in a small cabin with no electricity. Again done for the love of a woman, she didn't take the picture when it all went pear shaped and the relationship ended, so I still own it. Lucky me!

Harbour at Dusk 2009

"Harbour at dusk" Oil on Canvas 38"x 22"

My first and nearly only work in British Columbia.
I was very in love with a girl and wanted to paint her a picture as a surprise for when she came back from a business trip. It is meant to be a misty cloudy landscape over a Harbour at dusk here on the small island I live. Just like the mist in the picture the girl disappeared too. ( GONE)

Here it is framed in  Douglas Fir wood.

Sunset No. 2- 1998

Sunset No. 2 Oil on Canvas-  48"x 48" this photo is only part of the painting. I do not have any other reproductions of this painting.. sorry.

Another large Oil on Canvas of my sunsets over London series. - I did sell it.The rings you see in the picture where inspired by my love of glass stains from beer pints so I used a big garbage can, dipped it into paint and Guinness and ran at the canvas and stamped the painting with this mark. Guinness is not advised as paint product- it goes off and smells! oh well, I had fun.

Barcelona Sunset 2006

Barcelona Sunset 2006, Oil on Canvas 48" x 32"
Commission piece for a very great man in a very amazing city.
I took inspiration from the Catalan painter
Antoni Tapies. Sunset over Barcelona.

Morocco 2005

Morocco No 1, 2006- Oil On Canvas, Size unknown

I painted this after travelling with my mother around Morocco in January, 2005.
Size unknown but it is reasonably big- at least 48" by 36"
Inspiration was taken from the beautiful town of Essaouira on the coastline of Morocco.

Morocco No.2, 2005-  Oil on Canvas, size unknown

Traveling with my mother in Marrakech, Morocco.

Morocco No. 3 2006- Oil on Canvas, size again unknown ( sorry)

My mother and I had a small exhibition in East London with these paintings. Not my most successful exhibition, but I do like the colour and simplicity of these paintings.

Morocco No.4 2005

Again travelling Morocco. My love of J.M.W. Turner comes out with this one. A kind of Homage I hope rather than me trying to copy his work.
Oil on canvas. Size yet again Unknown.
I think my parents own one this or I sold it (?)

Sunset No. 1 1998

Early work 1998.
Oil on Canvas.
72"x 72" ( 6ft x 6ft)

Sunsets  looking out over tower blocks in West London were the inspiration for this painting. Painted with  a light wash and then I slapped thick stand oil mixed with Prussian Blue, Burnt umber and finished off with Guinness of a things. I do not recommend using Guinness as an art application as it will go off, smell and probably fade and not be that great for your canvas.
I ended up having a mouse eat a hole into this painting, so my mother chopped it up into smaller paintings.  I had an exhibition in Somerset in the UK and sold the smaller paintings. I have no photos or documentation of the smaller paintings.

Small Sunset No.1 1999

One of my favourite paintings ever,  I was living in London.
I really like the long fall (autumn) light in the long sunset evenings. My studio at my college was high up and could se panoramic views of West London. I made up a simple image with no real representation
of anything, but just a feeling of space. Looking out into the sunset.

Oil on Canvas- size yet again unknown

Somerset Storm 2006

More lovely texture, paint scrapped on and brushed off. I really didn't want the paint to look like it came straight from the tube. A success in one way but the light colours look like they are straight from a tube, but I still like this piece.

Oil On canvas, again size unknown.

Somerset Storm 2006

Somerset, The West country of England. Sunset, sunrise, storm? Who knows what I was thinking? Very textured work done very quick. I wanted a very quick looking feeling to the picture.
Just as the light changes at dusk.

  Oil on canvas, size unknown.
